AN AMAZING RESPONSE
We are astounded that we are having an amazing response to the Retrospective of ALEXANDER RUTSCH. Having been in the art business for many years now, we realize that most collectors require time to make a decision about a painting that they will live with for a long time. Often a client will revisit the piece more than once. We totally understand that. But with this exhiition by Alexander Rutsch, which hasn't officially opened yet, the response has been extraordinary!
We always try to analyze the pros and cons of each show. Why is this one receiving such a strong positive response? What we have been able to discern thus far is that his appeal seems to be intensely palpable. His subjects though not uniqe, are truly also not mundane. Each individual has a personal perception to each painting, and the perception will vary dramatically. We are surprised to find both artists and lay people standing for long periods of time before each work. What is it they are deriving? Come see for yourself.
